Interested in modeling? This program is for anyone who would like to begin developing their modeling portfolio, no previous experience needed. Once we talk about some of the details, we can set some goals such as creating headshots and portraits that have an impact, practicing and learning new poses, developing a comp card, and getting experience. IMPORTANT: This is a selective program, not everyone who applies will be accepted!

A quick look behind the scenes of a rustic rooftop photoshoot! In the summer time I sometimes have interns who are majoring in photography come do part of their studies with me and get college credits.

The first time I visited Ukraine I was invited to photograph a national dance competition. Dance is a major part of life in Ukraine and there are many dance groups and competitions that happen year round. They train from childhood and it was quite an experience to go to a post-Soviet venue hall and see the groups perform.

Congrats Sam and Liz! 💍 The plan was I had gotten this new light painting kit and wanted to test it out so we scheduled a shoot at the beach. They arrived early for a picnic and then we would do the photoshoot around sunset. As I was setting things up, Sam brought a box with a bouquet inside. We hoped that Liz would think it was food or something to do with the shoot. After he opened the box and gave her the bouquet he proposed. We had tried think of all the possibilities and I thought it was a good plan but there are always some unexpected elements. Even so it all worked out in the end :)

Had a really nice time with Matt, Cheryl, Jackson and Maddie :) Matt’s a military aviator so we had a lot to talk about (he’s been all over the world!) and the kids are great. Maddie likes to collect things...she found a cool leaf for her collection 🍁 Anyhow I always like to go to this spot when doing family photos at Notre Dame.
