We had a fun time doing some beach portraits and thankfully was still warm enough for night portraits. I recently got a light painting kit and it was nice testing it out. I think we’ll be doing more night portraits now that we figured out how to make these portraits!
I recently did a photoshoot with Netsayda in a labyrinth-like historical convent in Arequipa, Peru. It was an incredible time exploring and taking photos. If you’re ever in Arequipa, I highly recommend visiting this place, you’ll love it! An interesting fact is that this convent was built with white volcanic rock called ‘sillar’. Then it was painted with various colors but there are some sections where the natural white rock can be seen. I had never seen white volcanic rock anywhere else, a very unique place for sure!
We recently did a creative portrait session in the studio and used various lighting set ups and even my fog machine for some dramatic portraits. These sessions are always fun because we can just experiment and try different ideas to get some interesting results.
