- Where are you located?
We are located in South Bend, Indiana, an hour and a half from Chicago, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne,
Valporaiso, and Kalamazoo. Here's an interactive google map.
- What are your hours of operation?
From 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, but please call or email first to schedule an appointment.
- How do we get started?
After we've confirmed that we are available on your date, we normally try to schedule a meeting so we
can get to know each other and talk about your wedding. If you are an out-of-state client, we'll schedule a phone
consultation.
- How can we reserve our date?
The studio requires 1. a signed contract and 2. a retainer to
reserve a date. You can send those itesm through our
Book Online! section. Keep in mind that we
photograph and reserve only one wedding per day.
- When is the final balance due?
The final balance deadline is two weeks before the wedding date.
- What is your pricing?
Coverage begins at $2900 and instead of packages, our pricing structure is built a la carte. Please schedule a
meeting with us so that we can go over the full pricelist with you.
- Do you provide a DVD of high resolution files?
Yes. The DVD includes High Resolution digital files, Medium Resolution digital files, and a Limited
Copyright Release. Keep in mind that it will also be the responsibility of the client to backup and archive the
files.
- What is a Limited Copyright Release?
A Limited Copyright Release grants the client permission to make prints, make enlargements, and use
the photos in personal projects like calendars, digital frames, desktop wallpapers, etc. The
client cannot, however, sell, publish, make a profit, or claim the files as his or her original
work.
- How many pictures do you take?
On average we take 3,000 or more during a typical wedding and deliver 900-1200 photos to the client.
- Do you offer individual digital downloads of the pictures?
Yes. Your guests can now order digital copies and use them to make their own prints
and enlargements. The digital downloads are sent via email.
- What kind of gear do you have?
We currently shoot with Canon cameras and Canon L lenses. We also carry backup equipment in case there's a
malfunction.
- Will Josef Samuel be the photographer?
Yes. Josef will be the primary photographer at your wedding.
- My venue requires vendors to carry insurance. Do you have insurance?
Yes. Some venues require photographers to carry liability insurance and present them a COI
(Certificate of Insurance) when photographing on their premises. Josef Samuel will be more than happy
to provide your venue with a COI.
- Do you have an assistant?
To be as inobtrusive as possible, Josef normally works without assistants. However, that could change if the
client wishes to have a second photographer or a slideshow at the reception.
- Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. All major credit cards are accepted through our secure website: Visa,
Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
- Is your website secure?
Yes. This website and our online shopping cart are secured through Secure Socket Layer
technology and we use Authorize.net as our security agent. You can shop with confidence
at our online store and online gallery.
- What's your policy on traveling outside of South Bend, IN but within the continental US?
If the destination is within an 8 hour drive from South Bend, then a $.50/mile travel fee applies. If the destination is further than that, then airfare
and hotel costs would apply.

- Do you travel nationally and internationally?
Yes. We have photographed weddings across the United States as well as in other
countries.
- What is your pricing for a destination wedding outside the United States?
We'll be happy to provide you with an all inclusive quote.
- Do you speak another language?
Yes. Having lived in South America for 18 years, Josef is also fluent in Spanish.
